Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra know how to make a dress. The cuts, the draping, the silhouettes, all of it done extremely well and this impeccable design comes in handy when showing a Costello Tagliapietra collection.
The teal plaid cross-over dress with a gray jersey back was an instant stand-out piece as soon as it hit the runway. Like this garment, many of the dresses came in two-toned form. There was a two-tone wrap dress that was exceptionally beautiful in gold and brown. There was also a considerable amount of attention given to the waistlines of many of the pieces. The jumpsuit, the pleated dress, a wrap skirt and more, all had the visible seam at the waist which was the highlight of this collection because it showcased a woman’s best accessory—other than her heels—her curves. Music from The Misshapes helped put a little pep in the model's step and in exchange, allowed the garments to move beautifully down the runway. — NIGEL ISAIAH
