One of our favorite footwear labels FINSK, has once again joined forces with the formidable Iris Van Herpen for a stunning Autumn/Winter 2016 collection. Designer Julia Lundsten and Van Herpen collaborated for SS16 creating the original "Airborne" shoe, an ultra-thin platform that gives the illusion of the wearer being suspended above the ground.
For AW 2016, Iris Van Herpen and Julia Lundsten of FINSK have continued the concept and pushing the idea even further. This time the thin wedge part was made transparent, and the leather was laser cut in geometric yet organic shapes to match some of Van Herpen's garments in the “LUCID“ collection. The idea was to expose as much of the model's skin as possible while still covering and securing the foot to create a strong yet fragile concept. — FINSK.com
