When it comes to runway shows, finding the right footwear can be a nightmare for designers. It's often the last thing on their mind having spent months working on their ready-to-wear collection. It's why more fashion designers are branching into footwear. Not only does it allow the designer to show a complete outfit aligned with their seasonal inspiration but it gives loyal customers another opportunity to own a piece of the brand.

Vivienne Tam is the latest designer to branch into footwear with a capsule collection created in collaboration with Hong Kong based brand, Joy & Peace. The ornate footwear designs feature laser-cut uppers and varying heel heights with designs in line with Tam's AW16 theme of peace and harmony. Priced from $205, the footwear will be available this fall through the two companies’ combined retail network.
